The Order of Melchizedek in the Bible
KJV Genesis 14 : 18-20 "And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God."
CEV Genesis 14 : 18 - 20 "King Melchizedek of Salem was a priest of God Most High. He brought out some bread and wine and said to Abram: 'I bless you in the name of God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. All praise belongs to God Most High for helping you to defeat your enemies.' Then Abram gave Melchizedek a tenth of everything."

KJV Hebrews 5 : 10 "Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchizedek."
CEV Hebrews 5 : 10 "This is because God chose him to be a high priest like Melchizedek."
KJV Hebrews 6 : 20 "Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek."
CEV Hebrews 6 : 20 "Jesus has gone there ahead of us, and he is our high priest forever, just like Melchizedek."
KJV Hebrews 7 : 1 "For this Melchisedek, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;"

KJV Hebrews 7 : 11 "If therefore perfection were by the Levitacal priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron?"
CEV Hebrews 7 : 11 "Even though the law of Moses says that the priests must be descendants of Levi, those priest cannot make anyone perfect. So there needs to be a priest like Melchizedek, rather than one from the priestly family of Aaron."
KJV Hebrews 7 : 15 "And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchizedek there ariseth another priest."
